Hagänsskolan differs from our school. The first difference we saw was no bells which in Poland signal  the break. The school is spacious and everyone can find a place for them. Students are being taught in completely different way than we know.
Could be fact that laptops are used on daily basis on lessons instead of notebooks. Getting to know Hagänsskolan gave us a feeling united and made us feel like we belong there. Teacher make great effort for Hagänskolan community to feel accepted, supported and understood during their education journey.
Second biggest difference is that no one among students is excluded. Strong bond between them is helping them during teamwork activities.

As they say - third time lucky. According to this rule, in the third try we have finally flown to Copenhagen from which we were taken to Älmhult by the train.
After a long but hassle-free journey we arrived at the campsite full of little, red houses in which there were social meetings every evening.
School was a complicated maze of lond corridors and well-equipped classrooms where we had lessons every day. Students are open-minded, warm-hearted and eager to help. Furthermore, because they are in the international classes and come from various countries, we are able to get to know many cultures.
Except from the integration during the breaks, we were attending lessons where we could experience totally different educational system than it is in Poland. The teachers often combined us into groups so that we could ponder upon a given topic by ourselves and aditionally better get to know each other. Mathematic with graphing calculators, biology with experiments connected with osmosis and drawing filogenetic trees, and language and literature where we were discusing problem of stereotypes related with sex are just a few examples of our lessons.
We are looking forward to see what the next days will bring.

Our journey was wonderful, after landing in Copenhagen we were greeted by a rainbow and salty sea breeze. The train journey passed very quickly and without any delays. At around 5:30 pm we were already in Älmhult. After checking in, we went to the store to buy local specialties. We really liked the gooseberry-flavored carbonated drink. The next day we went to school. Swedish youth and teachers welcomed us warmly and cordially. The school looks very interesting. It is very well equipped, although it is easy to get lost in it. In biology classes, we conducted an experiment that shows the occurrence of osmosis on the example of potatoes and water with different sugar content. So far we like the school very much and we would love to live and learn here.

Trip to Sweden was fully packed with emotions, from running to the train station in Copenhagen to strenuous walk through the forest with our bags.
Although all the obstacles and a really dark forest we managed to reach our camping safely.
The first day of school was completely different from what we expected.
The school surprised us with its enormous size and with the placement of classrooms.
Thanks to friendly students and patient teachers we were successful in moving from one classroom to another classroom.
The first class we took was mathematics, which was taught by cheerful Andreas. Even though, this lesson was in the morning we managed to focus and learn.
Later, we attendent biology lesson conducted by Haganässkolan’s IB program coordinator Karin. We learned about osmosis on an example of potatoes’ plant cells.
After lunchbreak, we attendent language and literature class where we talked about stereotypes associated with masculinity  and femininity.
The last class we took part in was a lecture about evolution and binomial nomenclature. After the lecture we made trees of life.
In the evening we rested peacefully in our houses with our irreplaceable colleagues.

1. The journey was long but in good company time flies fast.  The train and the plane had air-conditioning and comfortable seats so I was able to rest and gather strength for the upcoming challenges.
2. The resort surprised me pleasantly, the houses were warm and cozy.  They are located close to the lake so we have beautiful views.
3. The school is large, very large and it is easy to get lost in it (we know from experience) but the students are kind and helpful to us and always offer advice.  We are happy to come back every day ready for new experiences. Getting along with the students was not as difficult as we first thought, despite the cultural and linguistic barriers.  The teachers were very understanding, patient. Their lectures showed ous new in a completely different way of teaching. We had classes in well-equipped rooms which were of much help during the lessons.
4. The classes were conducted in a much different way than in Poland.  Conducted by professors was interesting and opened us up to new perspectives.  This trip was an experience that will stay with me for life, and memories and newly acquired skills will certainly be helpful in the future

Our trip to Sweden was amazing. Everything went as planned, our flight was not delayed and we arrived on time in Coppenhagen, then in Almhult. During the second and every other day we attended classes in a swedish school. It was a nice experience to see how people around the world study. It is really different from our polish schooling system. We made a lot of new friends that we still keep in touch with. The houses we lived in were really cosy and comforable. Overall, the stay in Sweden was great and I would love to go there one more time.
